Remembering Raphael's words, Tobias burns the heart and liver of the fish, and the evil spirit flees to the utmost parts of Egypt, where the angel binds him. Tobias and Sara rise to pray; recalling the creation of Adam and Eve, Tobias says he takes her not for lust but uprightly and asks that they grow old together. Meanwhile Raguel digs a grave in fear, but a maid finds the couple asleep and alive; Raguel praises God, has the grave filled in, keeps a fourteen-day wedding feast and promises Tobias half of his goods.
