In Nineveh, Tobit counts the days and grows anxious when his son does not return, while Anna, convinced that Tobias is dead, mourns him and watches the road day after day. When the fourteen days of the wedding are over, Tobias insists on leaving despite Raguel's pleas. Raguel sends him away with Sara and half of his goods, servants, cattle and money, and he and Edna bless the couple, urging Sara to honour her new parents and entrusting her to Tobias.
