If you are made master of a feast, do not lift yourself up but care for your guests first. Let the elder speak with sound judgment without hindering the music, which at a banquet is like a carbuncle set in gold; let the young man speak briefly, and only when asked twice. Go home in good time and bless him who has filled you with good things. The second half turns to the law: whoever fears the Lord receives his discipline and whoever seeks the law is filled with it, while the sinner finds excuses. Do nothing without advice, and trust in the Lord.
